Arcane mastery

Arcane mastery is an Evoker arcane class feature which helps Wizards to fulfill the striker role.

Arcane Mastery (Evoker class feature) Basics (Level 0) You gain additional training in the Arcana skill. You gain a +1 class bonus to your Reflex defense. You achieve a critical hit with attack spells on a natural attack roll of 19-20; whenever you achieve a natural 20 with an attack spell, you may inflict an additional arcane affliction on the target. Class Metamagic You gain the following metamagic: Ⓒ Empower Spell (per-encounter immediate action ✦ stance metamagic) Prerequisites: Arcane Mastery Effect: Until you end this stance, your attack spells achieve a critical hit on each natural roll of 18-20. You may end this stance as an immediate interrupt when you would miss one or more targets with a spell to re-roll each attack check that you do not like. You must use the second set of rolls, even if some of them are lower. Leveling Up At each even level, you choose a new at-will Metamagic. You may choose maneuvers from this class feature or any of your other class features. At each odd level, you choose a new class feature. Some class features allow you to choose one or more ranked Metamagic; you may choose ranked Metamagics from this class feature or any of your other class features. At-Will Metamagics (Level 0+) ◯ Drain Mana (at-will immediate reaction ✦ invigorating cantrip) Prerequisites: Arcane Mastery Trigger: You reduce a non-minion creature to 0 hit points with a spell, or roll a natural 20 on a spell attack. Effect: You may use your second wind. Special If you use a daily feat to perform this metamagic, you may counter any per-encounter spell, trance or prayer, or may counter any daily spell, trance or invocation cast by a lower-level creature.
