The Avenger focuses his divine faith into hunting down enemies of that faith and slaying them without mercy.


Avenger Class Features

The Avenger gains the following class features:


Weapon Proficiencies

As a priest, the Avenger gains training with flails, bludgeons, hammers, swords and crossbows.


Armor Proficiencies

As a priest, the Avenger gains training with light armor, heavy armor, and Shields.


Magic Proficiencies

As a priest, the Avenger can perform divine prayers and invocations, usually using the Religion skill. Due to divine wrath, his magic damage bonus is equal to his Wisdom modifier plus his Charisma modifier.


Skill Proficiencies

As a priest, the Avenger gains training in Religion and History.
Additionally, divine wrath grants training in Athletics, and and divine censure grants training in Insight.

Class Prayer

  • You gain the following prayer:

Oath of Emnity

(per-encounter immediate actionattack prayer)

Prerequisites:

Divine Censure

Target:

One unmarked enemy.

Effect:

All creatures marked by you become unmarked, and the target becomes marked by your Oath of Emnity until the enemy is defeated, or until you are reduced to 0 hit points by that creature. While the target remains marked by your Oath of Emnity, you always know its hit points, condition, and its direction and distance away from you. While a creature is marked by your Oath of Emnity, you may not mark any other creatures.

Whenever you attack the creature marked by your Oath of Emnity, you gain a feat bonus to your attack roll equal to your Wisdom modifier, and the attack is a critical hit on a roll of 19-20. Each time you miss the target, the attack bonus increases by +1, to a maximum bonus equal to your Wisdom modifier plus your Charisma modifier.

Divine Wrath

Invocation

  • You gain the following invocation:

Oath of Destruction

(daily immediate actionattack invocation)

Prerequisites:

Divine Wrath

Target:

One unmarked enemy.

Effect:

All creatures marked by you become unmarked, and the target becomes marked by your Oath of Destruction until it is defeated. While the target is marked by your Oath of Destruction, you always know its hit points, condition, and its direction and distance away from you.

Whenever you attack the creature marked by your Oath of Destruction, the attack is automatically a critical hit on a roll of 18-20. If the attack hits, it deals an additional +1dW damage of your faith's damage type if it's a weapon attack or +1d6 damage of your faith's damage type if it isn't, and you may add your magic damage bonus to the attack's damage if it does not already include it.

Whenever the creature marked by your Oath of Destruction ends its turn more than 3 paces away from you, you may fly up to twice your speed towards it as an immediate reaction and then land.
