The Warden focuses her primal connection into a wellspring of vitality, making her a nearly unstoppable protector of the natural world. By evoking the aspects of her totem, the Warden becomes easily the toughest of sentinels, despite her light armor and often primitive weapons.


Warden Class Features

The Warden gains the following class features:


Weapon Proficiencies

As a barbarian, the warden is proficient with unarmed, grappling, axes, bludgeons, blades, swords, spears, thrown weapons, and bows.


Armor Proficiencies

As a barbarian, the Warden gains training with light armor and with shields. Primal wrath grants a bonus to armor when in light armor equal to the higher of his Constitution modifier or his Wisdom modifier.


Magic Proficiencies

As a barbarian, the Warden can perform primal trances and rages, usually using the Nature skill. His magic damage bonus is equal to the higher of his Constitution modifier or his Wisdom modifier.


Skill Proficiencies

As a barbarian, the warden is proficient in Nature and Heal.
Additionally, primal wrath grants proficiency in Endurance,
and guardian might grants proficiency in Intimidate.

Primal Wrath

Basics

(Level 0)

  • You gain training in the Endurance skill twice.
  • When you are wearing light armor, you gain a class bonus to your Armor defense equal to the higher of your Constitution modifier or your Wisdom modifier.
  • You gain a +1 class bonus to your Fortitude defense, or a +2 class bonus to Fortitude if you already had a class bonus to Fortitude.
  • You gain a class bonus to your maximum hit points equal to twice your level, three times your level if you already had a class bonus to hit points.

Class Trance

  • You gain the following trance:

Font of Life

(daily free interrupthealing trance)

Prerequisites:

Primal Wrath

Trigger:

You would be bloodied or reduced below 0 hit points by an attack.

Effect:

Your hit points may not be dropped below your Constitution modifier by this attack. Until the end of the encounter, you gain resistance to all damage and regeneration equal to 1 + half your level, and you gain any one Aspect of your totem; you may choose a different Aspect to gain each time you trigger this trance.

Guardian Might

(Warden class feature)

Basics

(Level 0)

  • You gain training in the Intimidate skill.
  • You gain a +1 class bonus to your Fortitude defense, or a +2 class bonus to Fortitude if you already had a class bonus to Fortitude.
  • You gain a class bonus to your maximum hit points equal to twice your level, or three times your level if you already had a class bonus to hit points.
  • You gain a +1 class bonus to your vitality.
  • Unmarked enemies within your reach are marked by your Guardian Might until they move out of your reach.
  • Enemies which are marked by your Guardian Might suffer a -2 penalty to all attack rolls for attacks that do not include you; this penalty is instead equal to your Wisdom modifier if the enemy is adjacent to you.

Class Trance

  • You gain the following trance:

Prerequisites:

Guardian Might

Requirement

You are not wearing heavy armor.

Effect:

You shift one square, then change shape into a hybrid of man and beast, borrowing the best aspects of your totem. For as long as you maintain this stance, enemies within a number of paces of you equal to your reach plus your Wisdom modifier which are not marked are considered marked by your guardian might. You gain any two Aspects of your totem until you end this stance; you may choose different Aspects to gain each time you take this stance. While in this stance, you automatically succeed any Endurance checks made to maintain this stance.
